本次年会前安排远道而来的校友参访游览牛津郡。导游带领校友参观了著名的牛津大学基督堂学院（哈利波特取景地）、Divinity School、Sheldonian Theatre，讲述了牛津的历史文化、建筑风格，牛津大学特有的历史传统，以及影片哈利波特拍摄背后的故事。

2018年6月10日，从伦敦、牛津等地远道而来的校友与剑桥校友及其亲朋共四十余人，聚首剑桥大学达尔文学院（Darwin College），以BBQ和punting之名共享英国清爽宜人的夏日时光。
11点，距BBQ约定开始时间还有一个小时，提前到场的志愿者小伙伴已然开始筹备工作，布置场地、清洗食材、搭建烤炉，一切按部就班有序进行。早到的同学，或享用水果饮品，或与新旧老友寒暄两语，不知不觉中校友们陆续赶到，剑河畔袅袅炊烟升起，BBQ正式启动！

2018年2月15日大年三十，献节启新芳，冬尽今宵促。虽然远离家乡，就读于剑桥大学的北大校友们也并不孤单，在北京大学剑桥校友会的组织下，同学们和亲朋好友欢聚一堂，度过了一个愉快而又难忘的节日。当天的活动从中午十二点持续到晚上八点，校友们一起观看春晚，聊天弹琴，一起煮饺子做游戏，一起聚餐宴饮。通过这次的活动，在遥远的异国他乡，大家仍旧感受了浓浓的年味。在共同迎接新春的到来的同时，也更加加深了彼此的联系。
中午十二时许，伴随着春节联欢晚会大幕拉开，校友们陆陆续续汇聚到了剑桥大学王后学院于Owlstone Croft的活动室，正式开始了这场欢庆佳节的聚会。北大剑桥校友会的同学们提前为校友们准备了琳琅满目的各类零食，水果，饺子和pizza等食物。大家一边观看春晚，一边享受食物，新认识的同学们相互介绍，老朋友们开着玩笑，交流最近的情况。在交流中我们发现，此次新春聚会参与的校友的年龄竟跨越十数年。但是对北大共同的情感和记忆仍然能够让我们在异国重逢，将我们紧紧的联系在一起。聚会到下午四点，正是北京时间的十二点整，正在“狼人杀”的同学们停下了游戏，所有人一起激动的迎接北京时间农历新年的到来。钟声敲响，大家欢呼雀跃，欣喜的互道祝福，共同期盼一个崭新美好的新的一年！

本次年会由2010级校友林立主持。年会分为三个部分，包括嘉宾致辞和理事会报告、参观校区及校友故事经验分享。本次年会首先由海闻教授致辞。他同校友们一起回顾了自己年轻时在北大求学的经历，表示北大精神是每个北大学子一生的精神支持，对校友们寄予了厚望和鼓励，并进一步和校友们分享了对中国经济前景的展望和信心。随后，由汇丰商学院英国校区负责人刘芍佳老师致辞，刘老师对校友们前来参会表示欢迎，并预祝校友会年会顺利召开。大使馆教育处匡建江老师在致辞中表达了对校友会活动的热情支持。之后，2016级EMBA校友、外联教育集团英国公司CEO何玲女士介绍了外联集团的业务，表达了与校友会合作的意向。本次年会还邀请了严复文化教育基金会主席刘凯博士为大家介绍北大第一任校长严复先生的生平展览。之后，北大全英校友会秘书长陈焕发代表第七届理事会作本届理事会工作报告，总结了校友会这一年的精彩活动和发展概况，展望了校友会的未来发展计划和愿景。
接下来是参观校区环节。该校区占地面积90亩，环境优美，景色怡人，有一湖一塔，与北大燕园的一塔湖图美景遥相呼应。海闻教授及工作人员热情地带领大家参观了校区，并详细讲解了校区的历史和未来发展蓝图。校友们漫步于校园间，感受着校园的清新，回忆着在燕园学习生活的美好时光，诉说着对母校的深切思念和感激之情。
第三个环节是校友故事和经验分享。会前筹备组向校友们征集了燕园学习和生活的照片和故事，得到大家的积极响应。年会现场，投稿校友们把照片背后的故事娓娓道来，不时引发大家的掌声和笑声。之后的经验分享着眼于英国的学术界和工作界。第一个专题讨论的主题是中英的科研合作，三位校友嘉宾郭宇铮（2002级物理系校友， Swansea大学senior lecturer），邓一婷（2003级经济系校友，UCL商学院lecturer）和王峰（2003级元培学院校友，UCL化工系lecturer）分享了他们在学术界的成功经验，并解答了年轻校友们在选择职业方向和如何开始学术研究等方面的疑惑。第二个主题讨论主题是北大校友在英国的工作和生活，三位嘉宾林亮（2000级物理本，就职于Citibank），李亚哲（2002级力学系本，就职于Google Deepmind）和滕佳佳（2007级元培本，就职于Rolls Royce）畅谈自己在职业生涯中的经验和心得，解答了校友们在职业规划和工作应聘等方面的问题。会后，校友们在校区大厅用餐，继续交流和讨论。
眼底未名水，胸中黄河月，北大精神永存在每个校友心中。在英的校友们诚挚地祝贺母校越来越好，期待明年北大120周年校庆的重大庆典。让我们相约2018年3月23-24日，再次齐聚在北大英国校区，庆祝母校的双甲子生日！
